The box that the Kensei RTA comes in is colored in silver white and blue. Slide the sleeve off the box and you will see the Vandy Vape Kensei sitting in a foam insert, in straight glass 2 ml mode. Next to the atomizer there is a bubble glass extension and a spare drip tip. Remove the foam insert to reveal your bag of spares.
The Kensei RTA comes with a resin drip tip pre installed. The color does vary depending on what color tank you get. The Kensei is available in matte black, stainless steel, blue, gold, and rainbow. The resin drip tip is tall and wide bore. This is a Goon or 810 compatible drip tip that is 18.5 mm wide. There is also an 810 Delrin drip tip that is shorter and it has some texture around the edges. Also included in the package is a 510 drip tip adapter so you can run all of your traditional 510 drip tips.
The Kensei RTA can be run 2 ml mode or 4 ml mode. The straight glass included in the package is for 2 ml mode and the bubble glass is for 4 ml mode. Because of the bubble glass, there is no need for a chimney extension piece. Just swap out the straight glass for the bubble glass to double your capacity to 4 mls. Not having an extension piece on the chimney insures full flavor no matter what capacity mode you are in.
On the outside of the top cap there is some knurling around the edges. There is also an o’ring located inside the 810 opening for all of your Goon style drip tips. On the interior of the top cap there is an o’ring and some very smooth threading.
The top fill ring has two large openings that can accommodate any type of juice bottle. Threading around the edges of the top fill ring is very smooth. There is an o’ring around the top part of the chimney as well as a provided spare. You can use the included top fill ring tool to tighten the top fill ring down on the chamber of the RTA.
The chamber of the Kensei RTA has a very conically designed interior that tapers up into a short, wide, chimney. This helps provide superior flavor. There is some Kensei branding on one side of the exterior of the chamber. On the bottom of the chamber there are juice flow control slots. The slots can be easily adjusted while the atomizer is on a mod.
The deck of the Kensei RTA is 24 karat gold plated and it has a two post, two terminals per post, design. It is stepped down in the middle, in order to give you more room to work with your coils. The post holes are wide enough to accommodate flat wire builds. The deck screws are gold plated Phillips Head screws and they are accessed from the top of the posts. The spare grub screws included in the package are gold plated Allen Head screws. The Phillips Head screws are easily replaceable if you prefer Allen Head post screws.
The airflow on the deck of the Kensei RTA is a unique honeycomb airflow system. This airflow has 12 holes on each side that make the airflow of this atomizer ultra smooth. Like the entire deck of the Kensei the honeycomb airflow is gold plated as well.
The wicking ports for the Kensei RTA are located near the sides of the posts. They are deep and they will hold plenty of wicking material. This makes the Kensei RTA very easy to wick and very forgiving.
The exterior of the base has some knurling to it that allows you to get a good grip while adjusting the AFC. The AFC slots have a cyclops style shape. The AFC is smooth and fluid with stoppers on both ends. This type of AFC allows you to have a restrictive direct lung vape with a wide range of adjustability. The base of the Kensei is 24 mm in diameter.
The 510 connection is gold plated with an insulator ring around it. The threading around the 510 pin is stainless steel and very smooth. On the bottom of the base around the 510 pin there is some Kensei branding as well as some Vandy Vape branding.
